Using the Spotlight GPT
The Spotlight GPT is a custom-trained assistant that uses live web search to find 10 real businesses in any niche and any city you choose.
This helps you quickly fill your site with active listings and get a strong head start.
Please note that these businesses are not guaranteed to be the actual “top 10” in the area.
A true top list depends on your own rating criteria (which we’ll cover in the Strategies tutorial).
The GPT simply gathers verified business details to help you populate your site faster.
To use the Local Spotlight GPT:
– Click the link from your frontend download page.
– You’ll need a ChatGPT account. A free account works, but ChatGPT Plus provides faster and more reliable searches.
How it works:
1. When you open the GPT, enter your city (for example, “New York, NY”).
2. The GPT will then ask for a niche — such as “Plumbers,” “Roofers,” or “Restaurants.”
3. It will search the web and generate a table containing:
• Business Name
• Phone Number
• Address
• Website
• Business Introduction
Simply reply “YES” to continue, and it will refine the results.
Once complete, you can copy the business information and add it to your Top List posts to create your first live listings.
Repeat the process for other niches as needed.
