Creating Your Top Lists
Your Local Spotlight Fortune website comes preloaded with 40 default Top Business List posts (or 100 if you purchased the upgraded version).
These are just placeholders and not specific to your area, so the first step after setting up your website is to remove them.
To delete the default posts:
– From your WordPress dashboard, go to “Posts.”
– Select all posts, then click “Delete.”
– (Optional) Go to the “Trash” tab and click “Empty Trash” to remove them permanently.
Next, generate new Top List posts for your location:
– In your WordPress dashboard, open the “Local Spotlight” plugin.
– Enter your target city or area in the location field and click “Generate.”
– The system will automatically create 40 (or 100 with the upgrade) new Top List posts for your selected area.
Each post will include a featured image and an introduction, ready for you to fill in with real local business information later.
(Refer to the “Using GPT” tutorial to learn how to find and add business details to each post.)
